Peter has worked and trained in

commercial, community and

public funded radio broadcasting.

He gained a triple distinction in

radio production from Gateshead

College and Metro Radio, then

went on to get a distinction

graded masters degree from

University of Sunderland. During

this time, he won ‘Gold’ for ‘Best

Speech Program’ at the 2015 SRA

awards. A ‘Silver’ award at the

Charles Park Prizes for best radio

drama and also picked up two

Nomination for creativity at the

HearSay Sound awards. Then in

2016 he was humbled to fly across

to New York to receive a New York

International radio festival award

‘Bronze’ for ‘Best Drama

Program’. Peter then went onto

volunteer with some young

offenders to create Young &

Secure which picked up ‘Bronze’

for ‘Best Journalistic and Speach

Program’ at the 2016 Community

Radio Award. He has wrote and

directed an number of original

short dramas, one on the very

trick subject of suicide.

He has worked with BBC 4 Extra

on Ross Nobles Newcastle and

BBC Scotland on the Radio 4
